any dangers tonight?  Be safe.  Some of those storms look like the regenerating t-storms that thunder for like 1hr+ straight and have constant lightning.

I have no idea, but we have had enough here in Okie land. I am about 30 miles north of Sulphur that got hit hard a week ago, we have had about 10 inches of rain since then, and more rain today and a high risk of tornados tomorrow.

It can stop already.

Kinda over it already. Tonight has just been steady rain, but plenty of thunder and lightning. It was heavier last night.

Tis the season,

Some parts of the westside state are still bone dry, other parts are flooded

I'm just stoked we're getting rain. Bring it on. By next month it will be 90+ days straight of 100* Temps. and no rain.

Just scattered storms with lots of lightning.

And illegal aliens on the roads.

On the way home tonight, I went through spots of heavy rain, but eventually got in front of the storms, and was on dry freeway.

The dumbassed illegals were going 30 mph in the left lanes like it was still wet.

Absolute stupidity.

I'm northeast of Houston and have had hours worth of thunder in the last week. Not as bad as Imelda or Harvey. No one rembers Imelda except the ones it hit. I got 26 inches of rain in ten hours from it in 2019 and lightning that was unbelievable. Winnie, TX had it worse. I need to move to UT or ID and get a wood stove.

I watch the weather a lot, this looks a little different than most storms that come through.  This one is not a line of storms that roll across along a dry line, its almost like an injection of moisture from the south, very similar to monsoon imho.

The Windy App shows the lightning strikes if you turn on the weather radar layer. Pretty incredible how much lightning is happening across the Texas.

Personally, Still need WAY more out west in the Lake Buchanan watershed.  This helps though.

I'm glad we're getting all this rain. It's normally very stormy this time of year and this is more than the last few years.

Our local lake is down about 5 feet from my rough guess, so we can use it.

Just shy of 3 inches last night.  It's just spring.  The really heavy stuff usually waits till the end of May.

3 inches last night.  Began around 7 pm.  Nice to have.

Tanks are full, grass is loving it, wild flowers everywhere, and the only downside of a wet spring is flies.  Tons of flies on the cattle, and the rains wash off my spray.

Going out to light a burn pile now.

I was supposed to go camping in sulphur but they closed the campsite due to damage from the storms.

The last several years in my area.  This is the most I’ve seen in 5 years, but I still haven’t had enough/much runoff.

We need it bad. The lake that my water comes from has risen 6 ft in the last month but is still 11 ft below the conservation pool.

We've had water restrictions for more than a year. Rain baby rain.

ETA: in the last week I've got about 7 inches at my house.

Boat launch in my neighborhood on Lake Livingston last summer. Discharge at the dam yesterday was ~125K CFS, I think that's a record. They've reduced it some this morning but we had another 3-1/2" today too.  Normal is ~ 12K

I need to check out our lake. It was down over 10 feet and at one point you could walk over almost half of it.

Been like for this the last week. We had a more than our fair share of rain lately. Creeks and River at or near flood stage.
