https://theaviationist.com/2024/05/04/india-first-bomber-uav/

Compared to other MALE (Medium Altitude Long Endurance) drones, the FWD-200B features a pretty unusual shape, so to speak.

On May 3, 2024, Flying Wedge Defence and Aerospace Technologies, an Indian company based in Bengaluru, introduced the FWD-200B, a domestically developed unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The presentation of the new unmanned aircraft, said to be India’s “first indigenous bomber drone”, got a lot of attention on local media, which extensively reported about the features of the FWD-200B. We received a lot of inquires about it, so let’s have a closer look at it.

The company emphasized that the UAV would fulfil India’s requirement for a sophisticated unmanned combat aircraft, contributing significantly to efforts aimed at achieving self-reliance in a crucial segment of modern warfare.

Looks like a mock up, and almost a joke.

They can build planes, so I would think a drone would be simpler.

So crudely carved wood with no motors and glued on props is now a UAV?

Shouldn't a UAV have to be able fly to be a UAV or would that be racist.

India should just use Canadair CL-415 planes and drop Ganges River water on enemies instead of bombs.  It'd be incredibly effective.

The real question is do they only just decorate the inside of the remote drone cockpit... or does the inside of the drone get the treatment, too?

Them having a drone may not be a joke but their display model is either completely fake or it has some sort of outer “shell” akin to what car manufacturers do on test models here. No way that thing is taking off with any payload. As it is, it may not even be capable of flight as the wings are far to small to price enough lift at the speed drones fly at

The fuselage is actually filled with helium.  It sorta floats instead of flys.

You're thinking that airframe production is actually what they want, rather than the rampant corruption, embezzlement, and lifelong jobs program inherent to their industry.
