The July 1984 edition if Solider of Fortune magazine contained the first introduction to the new Soviet carbine. I posted it on Reddit but figured you guys are probably the better crowd.

Didn't know this existed, thanks for posting @Cobalt-60.  Just found a back issue copy online, blew the 15 bucks on it.  Neat to have for the collection.

Thanks for posting. Back in the 80s, pre-internet, SOF was THE source of information about the worlds’s smaller wars.  IIRC, SOF brought out the first 5.45mm ammo.
