I'd like to get a 7.62x39 rifle built, and I'm very interested in the gun having a bit of a "RPK" flavor about it. I'd specifically like to use a RPK or bulged trunnion and 1.5mm stamped receiver.

The receiver doesn't appear to be much of an issue, but how do I source the trunnion? Everything I see is of the "standard" front trunnions, and not the bigger RPK ones.

The new ATF parts kit import rules are requiring trunnion cuts from what I understand.

Well that is utter BS.  Typical though.

OP- if you are still looking- find yourself a Yugo M70 variant from Century or an M70 type kit.  You won’t do great trying to piece together something.
