Tested out the garmin chrono today

65-70°
Criterion core 12.5
Griffin explorr EU2

I shot a few black hills first to establish a control group. I used caldwell and the garmin to confirm accuracy of the garmin.

Next up was a couple strings with the AAC 75's. The velocity wasn't what I wanted so I didn't shoot for groups

For a 12.5 inch barrel those 75s are pretty hot and the BH stuff is smoking.

I have shot a ton of the Hornady Steel Match 75s and I only get 2580 from an 18 inch barrel.  They still work fine for longer ranges.

All my criterion's have gotten really good velocities without pressure issues

My criterions have very good velocities too. Having said that, my AAC 77 OTM out if a 14.5 core is getting 2650 FPS.

Which 75’s, the BTHP or the BT? Dunno that they’d have different powders, but still just for reference.

Anyway, the real story here is that those BHs are smoking for coming from a 12.5.

Bthp

Those BH's have always gotten good velocities for me. Any match bullets have posted good velocities in general so I was hoping the 75's would have been a but faster. Comparing them to others mine are still on the fast side but just not quite enough for me. 69tmks are around 2725 for reference

Sorry if I missed it, which BHA 77gr specifically ?

The Mk 262 Mod 1-C, or the D556N9 ?

I would assume the Mk262 ?

And quite respectable velocities from your 12.5", those speeds make my stoney Kool-Aid pumpin' heart happy.
