I like how they put their arrow on the bolt so you know which direction to install it.

so does this use a standard ar-15 cam pin and firing pin? or does it require the KAC Cam Pin and Firing Pin? ordered one regardless but kinda interested and couldn't get ahold of Centurion CS today.

I literally have no idea whats going on in this thread. And worst case is, its not GD.
ETA: I guess the above edits negate that. |

Are those supposed to be rounded lugs?

Looks like it only works with a special “T” marked Cneturion Arms barrel extension.

When mine gets in I’ll do a comparison… I keep an spare E3 bolt on hand but figured this was worth a look also
|

Those lugs don’t appear to have near as much meat on them as KAC bolt lugs, but ’ll probably pick one up as a backup for my SR15 since component E3 bolts have been non-existent for years.
$95 over $300 is just icing on the cake. |

Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File Confirmed that the new bolt works with a standard firing pin and standard cam pin. Will test fit with the E3 barrel I have on my work bench tonight. Looks like a good piece, but you can see that the lugs aren’t rounded as the KAC bolt but they are tapered unlike a standard bolt |

it looks like a good bolt, took everything apart and reassembled pretty easily. i picked up a new takeoff 14.5" mod2 barrel a while back and was going to use my spare E3 bolt and one of the E3 Field repair kits to build the BCG for that barrel, but if this bolt works then i can toss the spare bolt and field repair kit back in the range bag and use standard parts for this build.

made some updates on other posts/sites... but i ran 300 rounds though the rifle with the Centurion bolt KAC barrel combo. it ran perfectly. no issues at all. if you have a spare KAC E3 barrel and cant find a bolt or field repair kit to finish it off, grab one of these. i'm not saying its just as good as the KAC bolt, but it runs great and you can use standard cam pin and standard firing pin.
