Anyone have issues with battery drain on the  AEMS?

I have one on a rifle that isn’t shot much, today I took it out of the safe, to find the battery dead.  That’s the second time it’s happened, and I’m sure I turned it off before I put it away both times.

I like the sight, but I’m seriously considering picking up another Romeo 4XTPRO to replace it. At this point.  It’s already been back for warranty, for a different issue.

Do you have shake awake deactivated?

Battery life on the AEMS with shake awake is measured in years.

I've had one since it came out (mine is the green reticle). Never turned it off physically, just default shake awake settings, I keep it pretty bright, and it's still fine.

I didn’t know you could deactivate shake awake.
I’ve had mine a little over a year, always on and bright with donut reticle. Original battery, just not the China battery that came with optic. Used one of my Japan made batteries.

Bad contacts will make you think there is parasitic drain.  I had a Sig RDS that died several times and I always had new batteries with me because of it.  When I realized it was an issue, I sent it in and they replaced it with a new unit.  No further issue.
