Anyone have a line on who gets restocked..?

Positive or negative experience using them…?

I’ve had a couple over the years. They look cool but never really found them that useful.

I'm fairly certain they are discontinued and you won't see any restocks. Best bet is watch the used market. I know there are always some on GB.

A call to check inventory is advised.

If you're not limited to KAC, there are others out there. I think one is Wager Machine, or something like that. Doesn't require two batteries in the cap to be functional, like the KAC.

@MONGO45

I’ve never seen a KAC one in the Wild but I’ve seen people with these.

Those seem to be terminally OOS as well, unless you buy them unfinished in multiples.

I reached out about a restock back in February, they told me they’re updating the design and won’t have any made for at least a few months.

There are a few companies that get them on occasion. I got two of them a few months ago for $40 each.

That is the actual price from online dealers. Dont be a sucker and pay $150+ for them.

They are not discontinued.  Just have to wait a few months and catch restocks.

I have a KAC and a Wager Machine via Thoroughbred Armament. They provide a space for an extra battery, but other than that they're just aesthetics IMO.

I scored one on the cheap a year ago, new.
It was going on an SR-15 so it seemed smart at the time. But I don’t see much utility in having a spare battery on a T2 unless I was being dropped off in a hostile jungle for 3 years.

I’ve seen dudes struggle with them in carbine courses because they came loose and killed power to the optic. They have to be screwed on pretty dang tight.

Just hit the stock notification with all the common vendors such as Operation Parts, et al.

Really no advantage over the stock Aimpoint cover.

The T-2 adjustment knob has a lot of resistance, so the little knobbies help out.

I do like the extra grip, and haven't had it back off at all. I also like having the extra battery right there.

To each their own, but not worth $100 to me, so it's MSRP or nothing.
