Can anyone ID this magnifier? It's definitely in a Scalarworks mount. Just looks kind of long to be a G33 or 3XMag.

Side note: This thing hates steel cased ammo. I have some old Hornady TAP training ammo from like 15 years ago I wanted to start burning up and it did not go well. With the H-buffer the bolt wasn't going back far enough to pick up a round to chamber, so I tried a carbine-buffer. Now the bolt would go back far enough to pick up a round but I was getting FTFs every 2-3 rounds. Ran a couple mags of PPU M193 through it to finish out my range time and it ran flawless with both buffers.

Yup, DD CHF. Should have posted while I was still at the range, they had H2 buffers I could have bought to try

If the H was too heavy I'm sure the H2 would have had the same result or worse.

I'd check gas block alignment, TAP usually has a lot of ass behind it. Weird it wouldn't cycle as well as m193.

I think OP is referring to the now discontinued TAP training ammo that was lacquer coated steel case…it was trash ammo and underpowered. I bought 3 cases of it back in 2010 when ammo was impossible to find and had issues with it cycling in everything except a SCAR 16 with the gas port set to “severe”

I bought one of each from wetworx and the "Surplus Colt A2" has cage code 17384 inside. So not necessarily Colt as advertised, right? The fatty grip was marked with a circle 3.

Bought/built/sold many times over the years.  Maybe this will stick in one configuration or another.
