What’s the largest objective that will work in a LaRue SPR-E mount on a AR.
Was planning on the Credo 2-10x36 but seeing some good deals on 2-10x56 but don’t think it will fit.
Anyone have experience?

That is a 1.5" height, correct?  There will be plenty of room.

You’re seeing deals because the x56 models don’t have the same feature set as the x36.  Mainly no FFP and different reticle types.

As for fitting, Trijicon has detailed product measurement specs on their website.  The objective bell OD listed for the 2.5-10x56 is listed as 2.6”.  Divide that in half you get 1.3”.  You’ll have more than enough clearance with a 1.5” optical centerline optic mount.

Thanks, comparing features and figuring out what is important .
Larger exit pupil vs fov, 1st fp vs 2

It’ll be fine. This is an Accupower 2.5-10x56 in a MI mount (1.415” height).

The 56mm objective will be noticeably better in low light (dawn/dusk) than the 36mm.

Yes. I've cleared a 56mm obj on a 1.45 mount with 20moa just fine.
