Just got my Form 1s back and started assembly of my retro builds. I tried to get the finish to look semi battle worn. I still need to get a few of the smaller parts refinished to match but over all I’m pretty happy. Maybe not 100% correct but close enough for me ??

Very nice!   I've done my lower parts in Ospho to take the black off.  Since you are going for a worn look, it should work nicely.  You could also soak the black charging handles in ospho or ice machine cleaner to grey them up. ( phosphoric acid)

Very nice OP.

I've loved those shorties ever since I saw my first one in the wild in VN. Dog handler with a 177 at the airport in Da Nang.

What barrel is that on the E1?
I am looking for a 10.5 with a .625 at the FSB w/o a bayonet lug, and not having much luck.

I cant remember but I had to have it thinned under the fsb as it wasn’t the correct thickness …

Very nice! I like them. I cheated and used a 5.5" TNTE moderator/FH on my 11.5" to save myself the stamp money this time, but I'll probably do another that will be a relatively accurate GAU-5 and will be SBR'd.
