I have my sig spear in 16”. I’d like to cut it down to 14.5. Anyone down this and how has it affected the rifle?

If you qualify to buy from Proven Outfitters, they have 14.5 SPEAR LT barrels.

I had mine cut down to 13.9" and pinned a flash hider. It shoots extremely smooth and handles very nice. Took it to 740 yards last weekend with some 75gr match ammo. D Wilson MFG did the work and it came out great.

OP, FWIW, my 14.5" Virtus has a J03 valve and the 16" has a J04.

Dave Wilson just chopped my little brother's 16 inch gun to 13.7 and pinned a brake on.
I'll get a chance to compare his 13.7 to my 11.5 inch spear shortly. I'll report back. |

I see that and then the J03 is 11.5" 7.62x39. Are these the same used on 5.56 variants? Thanks |
