looking for a front sight for marlin 336w rem model cant seem to find one anywhere. any one have any ideas with out tap and dieing a new screw hole out.

Get a Recknagel universal ramp, and have a 'smith solder it on.

That'll give you interchangeable blades with a decent selection, though it may be pricey.

Alternatively, Williams also has a couple different length bases for 3/8" dovetail sights that can be screwed or sweated on. Cheaper but more limited, and hoodless, if that matters to you.
