This thread is almost a bit of market research, so I appreciate the help.
 I've got some different variations of a popular design, and I am curious what people like. There are pictures of seven different pipes below. What do you like, and what do you not like? 156, but my bias is towards the color.

Heck, I love that 158 but I am biased to a nicely proportional sitter

It would be 162 for me. They are all nicely proportioned.

156 or 158. My favorite pipe in my collection is a Briar workshop pipe that's very similar in shape.

Thanks for all the replies.
158 is definitely a beauty. It is my favorite among them - and was claimed by this year's Cola Warrior winner.I need to make more of those, but it was also the "luck of the draw" in that the wood grain ended up spectacular on that pipe!

I like the way the shape of the shank and stem complement each other, and the resulting synergy that brings to the overall design. Is that pipe available? |

158 is stunning. That is a great looking pipe.
162 looks very comfortable to smoke. The stem has a nice curve and lets the bowl hang lower then most. 163 looks awesome. Love the color but would make the stem right where it meets the shank a little thicker so it matches the shank or possibly a slight step down from the shank. Great pipes DK. Impressive sir. |

I like the smooth lines of 156 and 158..the lines flow nicely. I prefer the finish that shows off the really nice wood grain.

I like 142, the sharp edges and matching angle from the wood to the stem piece looks excellent
