WOW! Some of the best historical fiction I have ever read. Centurion Lucian Tullus was a fantastic character. Unfortunately my library has a limited selection of Ben Kane.

What other Roman sagas would you recommend?

I read my first Ben Kane book a few weeks ago "Eagles in the Storm" and really enjoyed it.   In his epilogue he mentioned Christian Cameron as an inspiration.

I just finished "Killer of Men" (Long War series) by Cameron and really enjoy his writing style.  This is the first of 7 books in this series of his and I'm looking forward to reading more.

I got the first three books of this Long War series on Amazon for a couple of dollars, well worth the money.

Simon Scarrow and Adrian Goldsworthy both have long running series set in Brittanic Rome. These are more Bernard Cornwell-style than hard history, so take that into consideration if it's not to your liking.
