I was never into death porn, so I've never watched or shared any of them. The local video rental store carried them, but kept them in the porn section.

History indicates that Conservative Americans only have three speeds: silence, peaceful protest rallies, and Total Industrialized Warfare. They excel at the latter.

I saw one in the 90s but don't enjoy such dreary fare and never watched another.
Everyone, including children, can watch far worse for free now on youtube. It can only make society worse when everyone becomes desensitized to death. |

I remember when those were a big deal.

When they flayed the puppy (or was it a kitten?) I was out. That had to be 1988 or ‘89 when I saw it. It was Pure-D evil.
There are things you cannot unsee. That movie taught me the lesson. |

Ha! knew it before I clicked.

The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it.

I could never figure how much, if any, was actual or not.

My group (tweens and teens) in that era thought it was the "must see" mythical thing.
I think we finally found it for rent at a mom and pop video store. I dont rememeber it really shocking us. I was not surprised to find out it was almsot all fake. |

I never did get my hands on one a those faces of death programs... of course every kid knew of them... was kind of urban legend like Rod Stewart getting all that semen pumped out of his stomach..

I knew what it was before I even opened the thread.
A couple of my buddies came over to watch. A lot of it looked fake to us, so we got FOD II & III to watch as a comparison. |

When I was a kid in the 80s I saw tabloids from Mexico that showed very graphic killings.
It's all open now. |

I knew a guy that worked for an ABC affiliate in the 1980's.
He compiled his own version of FoD from news feeds. His were far superior to FoD. |

A socialist may indeed be academically superior.
And yet, they are most certainly emotionally retarded. Public education is the opiate of the masses. |
The only thing I remember was a bunch of dudes cracking a monkeys skull with mallets then eating it…

A cop buddy of mine brought out that VHS tape when we were sitting in his basement getting drunk back in the early 1980s.
I wish I had never seen it. |

Obedience is not patriotism. Patriotism is love of your country, not of your government.

As a video store clerk in the late '90s, I refused to let kids rent that without parental permission. Guess I wasn't cool.

About 20 years ago I was browsing through Fry’s electronics and saw the dvd set for like 15 bucks so I bought it. It’s in a cabinet somewhere next to my Rad dvd.

View Quote As I was reading this thread I was thinking "I'm kind of surprised they let me rent that in the video store when I was 13". I rented 2 or 3 of them (1996ish). I never actually knew that some of it was fake until now. A few I remember: A news reporter was talking to the cameraman and some random guy walks right up and shoots her with a revolver point blank. Another video had a tank running over a guy's head, it squished it like a grape. I could never deal with watching the operation scenes, I'd always FF through those. The last goreporn crap I watched was "August Underground Mordum". It is basically a fake snuff movie. I threw up and cut that shit off within a few minutes. Although I've watched tons of gory movies I can't stand to see blood in real life, I usually get nauseous. |

I went to a house party with my six year younger brother’s crew
around 1987 were they were playing that as wall paper through a video projector. When it was explained what it was, I just ignored it out of disgust. The party was hosted by a bunch of dorky metal dudes in a group house. They were pretty much what we would consider incels today. The band out back was good enough though |
