I was in Memphis last weekend or weekend before last for work. Whenever that hilarious shooting was. I Saw multiple Memphis PD downtown writing parking tickets. Walked to breakfast six or 8 blocks away and sorta wished I’d had a rifle.

Damn the pay is low. Portland PD starts at 79k.
Average top step officer makes 166k. And forcing an entering into a tent MUST be easier that stacking up with the battering ram trying to force solid doors down. |

If you want to get into police work it wouldn’t be a terrible place to start. Work here for a few years and then get recruited to work in a better market.
