Depending on the kit and where you bought it from, I think $140 - $180 roughly? Late 80's I remember it being $225-250ish IF it had ball bearings included. I still have mine from then. |
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Have to admit, seeing the Reissue is partially what has gotten me motivated to get my '92 Championship Car back together. (Been hunting down the last few screws and bolts on ebay, and will stop at another RC shop tonight, maybe even Ace for the more 'common' sizes)
There is also a Bad Ass Clear model available as well. As an 80's kid/90s young adult, the whole Transparent Thing is a strong retro-vibe for me! If I do get my old car up and running again, I do plan on running it around at the local track, but I'll take it easy. Don't want to break anything else on it! So it'll be a shelf queen going forward. Which is much better than how it spent most of the last 30 years: Disassembled in a box in the shed! (I have been eyeing those RTR complete with radio RB10 models though to run at the track. Place is only like 5 minutes from the house...dangerous!) |

Mine came in yesterday. After about 30 seconds of debating on whether I wanted to leave it sealed in the box or not, I cut it open and got started building. I really hate electronic manuals.
There is a local guy here that I've had paint several bodies for me. I'm probably going to get him to recreate the original paint job on the box but might have him do something else 80s style. It will live on my shelf. Probably will slap a motor in it but I doubt I'll do bother doing all the electronics. |

The talk about original MSRP made me think I remembered the prices being on the end of the boxes so I went looking for a picture. There was one nib one listed for like 6k or something. I’m trying to resist buying one. I ended up ordering a few of those Losi retro minis around Christmas and didn’t need those either. |

This build is taking longer than I anticipated. I can sit down and build a whole crawler kit in a couple hours but I've had to break this up over a few days (about an hour at a time). A lot of that is because of the stupid pdf manual, but I also dont have any good SAE hex drivers and I'm not familiar with this platform. Its interesting to see how things have evolved and improved over the years.

I get models but if it runs, I gotta drive/fly/whatever it is. I have an FF01 Vectra that just sits, because it's not really practical to have fun with in the street. This will get a 17.5 and a paint job that matches my best recollection of the one I had as a kid. |

Hell if I remember the color. |

Was in the local hobby shop this afternoon for some hex drivers (3d printer tools) and had to talk myself out of buying this. I remember seeing the RC10 in RCCA Mag when I was a kid....
