Anybody know anything about this, I searched haven't found, seems it would be heralded gloriously.

I’d go for a Gen 5 MOS 17L
|
|
|
Did they ever do a Gen 4? Seems more likely they’ll just continue to do limited runs of gen 3 guns.

Am I the only one that thinks the 17Ls don't shoot as flat as a 34? Might be the extra sight radius playing tricks.

Either way, I’m gonna buy one of these when they hit. |

View Quote I missed my G24, had it for awhile- put thousands of rounds through. Glad I still have G17L (recently bought). Never owned 22 however, only 23 (briefly) and G27.... Shooting G24 VS G27 was a night and day. |

3 10-round mags?

If they're bringing the 17L in the current generation, that really makes me hopeful that the 19C might be coming too.

|
|
Awesome!
front serrations look terrible on it though |

I imagine this is a small batch limited run?

Originally Posted By takdriver: I imagine this is a small batch limited run? View Quote Glock won’t do these unless the order is big enough. I imagine that a minimum of somewhere between 5k-10k units. Since this is the first time the 17L has been produced as a Gen5 (or even 4 for that matter), that’s a whole new tooling for producing of the slide. I think the minimum order required by Glock would be on the high side. |

I recently purchased a Gen 3 17L. It should arrive tomorrow. I'm super excited. I have a couple 34s but this is my first LONG long slide. I ordered a 10-8 rear sight and an ameriglo red tritium front. I'm hoping the poi will be OK.. 250 rear and .240 front. I have a few other front sights in the parts bin I can play with. Does safariland make a holster for these?

View Quote You can use any 6XXX or 7XXX series ALS holster for a g17 or g34, but either way you'll have to remove the cap on the bottom of the holster and the barrel plug. Your muzzle will protrude out the bottom of the holster. |

Love it. Do want.

What’s needed is a gen5 longslide 10mm!

Is it possible to put a long slide upper, barrel and spring on a 17 frame?

I’m betting on it sharing frame and recoil assembly with the G17.5. |

This before a 26X? Disappointed.
How is this not a vender limited run? I don't get it. |
|
|
The 3d view shows that the slide is not cut out on top( no window)!
|
|
|
Blue label ones available?

So does the Gen 5 model have a solid slide or is the is the cut out still there?

No coffin cut is disappointing.
The G17L makes for a great ported barrel host. |

View Quote Waiting for the answer as well, but I want to say it was for Romania, for thier swat teams or something similar. About 7-8 years ago there was one in EE for $450. Unfortunately in the couple of hours after seeing it and deciding to buy it sold. |

That pistol is from the Argentine Antiterrorist Brigade. I also believe it’s a Glock 24, not a 17L. This is from distant memory of having come across them, so take that for what it’s worth.

interesting feature for you guys FYI
the dust cover on the front of the slide is all plastic to help with weight without a coffin cut |
