I have big hands and use the large backstrap on my G19, long trigger on 1911s. Otherwise the trigger sits in my distal interphalangeal joint instead of on the pad.

What grips would you recommend? Thanks.

If you can find a pair of the long-discontinued Uncle Mike's grips, that would be a good place to start.

I have the UM grips on three HP's and they most definitely aren't thick by any stretch, in fact thinner than the factory wood slabs. Thats why I put them on.

Pachmayr on the other hand are a bit thicker.

You might check  LOK GRIPS

They are in michigan

They make several sizes of browning grips

I sent you an IM.  I have some custom walnut grips that were made extra thick you can have.  Just pay for postage.
