Just got this in the mail yesterday from a dealer I know in PA. S suffix July 1944 manufacture Spreekwerk P38. All matching with correct proofs throughout. Lives in a Austrian made Stolla Wein marked holster, im not sure if its post war or???
Anyone know what the star looking stamp is on the rear right proof mark by the slide serrations means?
Looks like a clean original unmolested piece to me.

You will find Sympathy between Shit and Syphilis in the dictionary.
The DWM P08 I had (wish I hadn't sold it) had one of those. When I looked it up it said it was an East German Rearsenal marking. i.e. "VOPO" (Volkspolizist) .

Actually it's a asterisk, rather than a number in a shield like a vopo mark. Just found this...
