That was silly on my part; I meant to ask if I could send a threaded pistol barrel to CT.

Yes you can as there are some situations where it's fine
Police or military Or someone may have registered their pistol as a salt weapon so it can have a threaded barrel or is preban |

Or it can just be a threaded barrel.
Yeah, totally legal to send. It's on the recipient what they do with it. If they care about the AWB they could even send the pistol barrel and slide assy out to perm-attach a compensator. |

Guys, I am sure this has been asked but I cant find it through search. Please forgive me for asking again.
Can anyone tell me if a colt sporter target model r6551 is ct legal. I have bought an eagle arms that turns out was not preban after confirming with armalite. So I am hoping to get this colt in order to sbr but I am confused with the ban by name sporter thing. Please help a brother out if you can confirm target model is good to go in ct. Thanks |

Hypothetical…
Let’s say I have a SBR that I stamped in another state (let’s say I have a second home there). I know SBRs can’t cross state lines with notification to the ATF. If I was to notify the ATF I was transferring this already stamped SBR to my home in CT, would that fly? |

It has to be legal at the final destination.

Right. There’s overlapping laws.
So a states Assault Weapons ban is enforced even if NFA registered. Damn |

Someone in CT wants to purchase a SIG 522 rifle. It's a .22LR semi-auto where the mags hold 25 rounds (though there are 10rd mags for it). It has a pistol grip, folding stock, threaded barrel and flash hider. Would such a gun be legal in CT?

View Quote ive ran into this with threaded barrel handguns, FFL's will take it in and make it compliant prior to transfer, for an extra cost to the customer. same thing really. so the FFL will modify the gun, fix the stock, pin the mags, and do whatever else. there are AW exemptions here as well if one is apart of the kings men. just need to verify the FFL will make it compliant to CYA incase the buyer gets denied a transfer and tries to return it.. |

[#17]
So the "Assault Weapon" ban in CT doesn't apply to FFL's? ie, it would be legal to ship it in banned condition to an FFL in CT?
