Hey folks! I have a Sig 229 in 40 smith and wesson. I'm thinking about converting it to 9MM by installing a Barsto 9mm conversion barrel or possibly a Storm Lake conversion barrel. From what I understand, the barrel (regardless of brand) may require some fitting. Is there a reputable smith in the KC/east side of KS area that someone might recommend? If there are no recommendations, I'll call the Bullet Hole and Frontier Outfitters and see if they can help. Thanks much for any feedback you guys might have.

Try it first. My Barsto 9mm conversion barrel dropped right in.

The pistol worked fine with the 40 magazines (with five rounds loaded). I wish I’d have bought some 229 9mm mags 😬. Off to spend more money :) |
