Good Evening.

I would like verification on a question, please. Does possession of a valid NRA Pistol Instructor Certification satisfy the training requirement for the W&C Permit. Or, do I need to become a MSP qualified instructor or go through the 16 hour course as well?

I believe the NRA card will suffice, and will likely get the MSP trainer cert at some point, but I want to be sure before submitting the application without the MSP cert.

Thanks.

No offense...that is the most worthless thing I have read...that dude asked if being an NRA Pistol Instructor would allow him to by-pass all the training requirements...that thread went straight to carp the second post.  As far as I can tell, his question was never answered...

The nra instructor cert it self does not exempt you, but you can use it to become a QHIC. QHIC's are exempt from having to do the class as they teach it. The QHIC is easy takes about 10 mins or so and less than a week to get approved, then you apply for the W&C as training exempt. Same a active or retired or honorable discharge from the mil makes you training exempt.
