Cold Camp is one of a small handful of stories I found here that I have read over and over.

If there was a witness that heard or was aware of his statement, then you could move forward and have it published.  If not, his estate might claim ownership, in which case, it's not worth the hassle.  

You could talk w/ his family and tell them your plans and get them to sign off.  

Sad to hear of Tim's passing.  Cold Camp was one of the first survival stories/books I'd ever read.  I liked it.
