Went saltier than usual today.
Pier on Chesapeake.
40" red drum.caught there last week.
Plan was live line a couple spot plus as cut bait.
Spot fishing was DEAD.
Went to Plan B.
2" paddletail.
Lizard fish and little flounder loved it.
Small blue fish chopped the paddles off a few.

Pax is my home river.
Headed to Pt Lookout today, figuring they'd be bigger.
More. But not bigger.

Those lizard fish makes surprisingly good live bait when fished on the bottom for redfish, bluefish, jacks, etc.

Hate the damn things when fishing live shrimp, they can clean you out of bait in a hurry.
