I’m currently looking at the switchback tripod but can’t find many or really any reviews. It’s right in my price range and seems to be light enough to to carry hunting.

Red It’s heavier than I’m wanting , that link says it’s 7 pounds. The vortex is only 4.5 pounds. I’m just trying to figure out if anyone has any experience with it due to the weight. |

The listing says it is 3.5 pounds - I put mine on a scale it is 4 lbs 8 oz.
It is pretty sweet and you can buy two of them for the price of the Vortex - prob being made in the same place. pretty much a carbon copy - you even have free returns. All good! Red |

I've had a switchback since release. I love it stable to shoot off light to pack around at a match love the head setup.
Is it a RRS no, but it does everything I need it to do. I have not packed it through the woods yet but plan to take it turkey hunting this season. |
