How do these manufacturers compare to say Bergara or Ruger?

Christensen Arms has well documented QC issues and Browning has very little aftermarket support. If you're looking for something to build on it's better to go ahead and start off with a "custom" action like a Zermatt Origin.

Yup hard pass on those. Buy a Bighorn Origin for $900 and then get a prefit barrel, trigger and stock/chassis and you will have a much better rifle than either of those.
