I am new to reloading. I am looking for a 77 grain bullet to reload for my AR. I have found several .224 bullets that are 77 grain. They say the bullets are for AR-15 .223.
Can a .224 work in a .224? What the difference in the .001? Can someone educate me a little, thanks. |

.224 is the correct size don't worry.

".223 Remington" is nothing more than a label. It's only use is to get you to the correct page in the load manuals.
Bullets of 0.224 inches diameter are correct. |

The 3 go to 77 gr OTM (Open Tip Match) and tipped match bullets.

I found my load with 77gn SMK'S and Varget.
