Hoboken Carjacking Incident Near Stevens' Campus on 1/15

"On, January 15, at approximately 11:30pm, an Armed Carjacking occurred near our campus. At that time, an individual who is not affiliated with the Stevens Institute of Technology, parked his 2008 Honda Accord on the 600 block of Sinatra Drive, Hoboken. He left his vehicle momentarily and upon reentering his vehicle, the driver was approached by 3 unknown male subjects, all wearing dark clothing and ski-masks. At that point, one of the individuals brandished a handgun and struck the driver on the head several times with the gun. A second individual produced a knife and threatened the driver who was then forced to the ground. The three individuals then entered the vehicle and fled South on Sinatra Drive leaving the victim injured on the ground. The victim immediately contacted police and was treated at the scene for his injuries by EMTs.

Police officers from both Hoboken and Stevens Police Departments combed the area attempting to locate the stolen vehicle and actors, but to no avail. These two law enforcement agencies will continue to work together to identify the actors and bring them to justice."

Regarding the situation, a spokesperson from the City of Hoboken shared with The Hoboken Girl: "I can confirm that the Hoboken Police Department's Investigations Bureau is actively investigating a carjacking which occurred in the area of Sixth Street and Sinatra Drive in the late evening hours of Jan. 15, 2024. Officers are attempting to locate the stolen vehicle, which is a blue, 2-door, 2008 Honda Accord." She went on to share, "anyone with any information is encouraged to contact Detective Bret Globke at [email protected]."

Police: 2 armed men robbed $12,000 from Newark cooking oil and recycling company

Officials are asking the public for help in identifying two armed male suspects who they say used a car to rob a cooking oil and recycling company in Newark last week.

They say the suspects robbed World Grease on Libella Court around 6 a.m. on Jan. 31. According to officials, one of the employees was about to open the business when one of the suspects held that employee at gunpoint.

The suspects demanded money and forced the worker into an officer where $12,000 was taken, officials say.

They say both suspects entered the get-away vehicle, a blue 4-door Honda, and fled south on Libella Court. One of the men was wearing black clothing and a ski mask, and the other man was wearing a blue jacket, blue jeans and a ski mask.

Anyone with information about the suspects and vehicle should call the Police Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).

Our foreign and domestic enemies are emboldened because we're too busy to do what we're expecting someone else to do. Commenting on arfcom won't do crap. In other words, if you want the job done right, you have to do it yourself. It may be too late, but there's still a chance if we get involved in local politics, the school board, your church, synagogue, etc. and hold the politicians, prosecutors, judges, educators, doctors, lawyers, the media, etc. responsible for their words and actions. They should be named and shamed and if treasonous and or above their pay grade, then sic semper tyrannis.

Shoppers at NJ market stop angry man armed with a machete

Shoppers are being credited with stopping a man who showed up with a machete at the Monmouth County flea market on Saturday.

On Feb. 24, at 9 a.m., a 39-year-old Bayville resident walked into the Collingwood Auction on the Wall and Howell border carrying a large machete. Police said he was confronting a 40-year-old Neptune resident over money owed for a car repair. The victim told New Jersey 101.5 that he did not owe money to the Bayville resident.

Police said witnesses to the argument stepped in to prevent the incident from escalating into something physical. The weapon was never used, police said.

The man fled in his vehicle before police arrived.

Police found him about noon in Eatontown, where they arrested him.

He is being held in the Monmouth County jail, charged with several crimes including weapons and terroristic threat charges.

Weapons, ammunition stolen during N.J. gun store break in

A group of unknown suspects is being sought after breaking into a South Jersey gun retailer, stealing weapons and ammunition before fleeing in a car.

Evesham Township police said Tuesday that Urban Tactical Firearms, located in a shopping plaza off Route 70 in the municipality's Marlton section, was burglarized around 2:30 a.m. Monday.

Security video captured four masked people dressed in black clothing outside of the business at the time of the burglary. The group forced their way through the store's front door, stealing the weapons and ammunition before leaving in a white Hyundai sedan, police said.

Looks like burglary to me and not an attempted burglary..

Attempted burglary caught on camera in Howell

An attempted home burglary in Howell was caught on camera when the homeowner was woken up by noise, according to police.

It happened on Ethan Drive around 5:30 a.m. on Feb. 29. When the homeowner went to check the noise out, police say he ran into a burglar in his kitchen going through the drawers.

Video shows the suspect fleeing when being confronted. Police say the burglar fled through the garage and into a vehicle that was parked in front of the residence.

Police say another home in the same neighborhood on Susan Court was broken into on the same day around the same time. They say forced entry was made via a living room window, and the burglar fled the home when the homeowners woke up.

Man breaks into Kearny home, takes dump in back seat of KPD cruiser en route to jail: police

A man who likely didn't have a bathroom of his own (you'll find out why shortly) wound up taking a crap inside a police vehicle that was being used to transport him to the Hudson County Jail in South Kearny, all after he allegedly broke into a Chestnut Street (Kearny) home last week, without being charged with burglary, the Kearny Police Department says.

tl:dr

Criminal broke into a house. Got into a fight with an armed homeowner that pistol whipped him. Cops arrive and arrest the burglar. While taking the burglar to jail he craps in the police car. Find out he's a wanted man with no home address. Instead of burglary he gets charged with trespass and then the cops release him so he can go on his merry way.

Un-freaking-believable.

That happened in my town on the day of the earthquake so I was monitoring my town's police frequency for any quake news when dispatch sent the police to the tire shop for a man that had been struck on the head with a sledgehammer and that 5 men were holding down the attacker. I later found out from a neighbor that the victim was the Trump RV owner.

The police said that it wasn't a political attack because the victim knew the attacker who just happened to come up all the way from Philadelphia to hit the man with a sledgehammer.

Here's a photo I took a few weeks ago of the victim's RV during happier times.

I was surprised to find out today that the victim has already been released from the hospital.
