Can’t post pics but the old monogram/revell models. For the time great detail. I built a NOS kit from the 80s recently and it was so fun not worrying about super detail

Quoted: My father was planning on putting this in the trash. I’m glad I saved it. Fond memories of playing with it. Wish I had the little hammer that came with it. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/267090/IMG_3549-3202542.jpg View Quote Our church had so many toys similar to that in the nursery for the kids to play with. They had to have been 30+ years old but still held up great. Can't think of many toys today that will last 30 years in a children's nursery. Had a lot of Fisher Price stuff like this too. The elevator would work with a crank, parts were not broken off, for some reason they just held together. |

I re-created something I really enjoyed as a kid (I bought it as a kit). What a blast, young or old.

Back to the pistol cap bombs. Back in my youth, I would set up the battlefield with little green army men on the patio and drop the bombs from the second story window on the Germans. Had a string attached to the bomb for easy reloading.
I’m sure I’m not the only that did this. 50 years later I still have those same cap bombs in my dresser drawer. |

The giant ones were awesome and my dad regretted getting us those, lol. They didn’t all fit in a toy box. |

I had that toy gun that would shoot little plastic disks. And you could load like 20 of them into the fixed magazine.

Orange, white and blue with a steel clip weight on the nose. Maybe a 6” wingspan. He was tossing them in various loops. I set it up at the hotel air conditioner and it just hovered for several minutes until it shut off. Loved that thing. From the second floor it would glide really far. |

They have a few different models and any would be a great for a father and son project in the garage. Prep, paint, and wrench turning and years of fun. Possibly having to create a few easy parts. Simple? Here is simple: A plastic straw and a bag of dried peas. Us kids in the neighborhood would have shooting wars across streets with those home made blowgun pea shooters!
Really fun and little risk of injury. Much safer than throwing rocks at each other. |
