I ended up using a black anodized upper and 80% lower since I couldn't find a blank grey one.
14.5in Remington Chrome lined SOCOM barrel with A2 upper. Adco spacer, peel washer, then I pinned and welded it. Various parts off the EE. Waiting on an ugly 80s sling thing for the front sight base.

Nice OP. I did something similar on a PSA M16A2 lower with a Colt M4 bbl, except I used an A2 stock since I like full-stocked carbines.

I'm trying to build one as well. I bought an Armalite A2 carbine upper assembly a few years ago, and I'm trying to find an Armalite-marked lower to finish it (OCD of me, ha ha. The lower receiver is the only piece I need; I have everything else.
