Not sure if this is the right spot...so if it's not, I apologize. My son has his stamp to make his ar15 a SBR. As of right now.. its a pinned 14inch with a FS on it.
He's getting the lower ingraved and all. He got a can "rc2" and the surefire fs to have them attached. He wants to have the old barrel removed and have a new barrel he got from dd its like a 10.3 or 5...whatever. and also got the new gas tube and all to make it happen. He wants it done right...pinned gas block and everything. Who do you guys recommend to get this done? Any info is much appreciated. Thank you. This question was elsewhere seeking local help...but he's willing now to ship the upper out. |

Did you post in the Texas HTF? You might be able to find someone local. Where in TX are you located?

For local you can try Superior gun care in Plano, Atwell tactical in Richardson. Rifle Gear in the Colony also has a smith.

If you are OK with shipping out of state then John Thomas at Retro Arms Works. He also does Colt factory-style square staking on receiver extensions/buffer tubes. He does a better job of staking than Colt. Specialized Armament is the only other place that I have seen do it that good but that isn't the right place for this project.
