New season, new thread!

Man City lead by a Norse giant took the Treble fending off a plucky young Arsenal side.

Bayern won the Bundesliga in the last week in a competitive season

Napoli went on a tear at home and in Europe and conquered Serie A

Paris Saint Germain won France again, but seems to be falling apart.

And the Premiere League App locked me out again so I didn't play the last few weeks and it won't let me see who won.

But the biggest news in the world

Mbappe has been very clear about his plans. I don’t think he signs an extension. They’ll have to move him

Im interested to see how it goes.

I think its going to make it much harder to run effective offside traps.

Going to need some speed demons on the back line.

Haven’t followed professional soccer/football, but since getting to see West Ham beat Manchester United when I was in London back in May, figure I may as well start paying attention. That was a fun game to attend, and the stadium atmosphere was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced in the States.

Welcome!  Does this mean you will be rooting for the Hammers?

I'm forever blowing bubbles,

Pretty bubbles in the air.
They fly so high,
Nearly reach the sky,
Then like my dreams,
They fade and die.
Fortune's always hiding,
I've looked everywhere,
I'm forever blowing bubbles,
Pretty bubbles in the air.

Fulham keep Antonee Robinson with a new 5-year contract and look to be signing Yunus Musah. I think this means Marco Silva is staying.

Going to the Brentford v Fulham match in Philly at the end of July.

In form Virgil ran amazing offside traps. I'd like him to get it figured out for the new rules.

And for Virg and Ibou to start

Some years I make it to December, some years March….easier to make it to May when you’re doing well.

I’ve done prizes for the league winner in the past (like a D60)…if that helps keep people interested I’ll do some kind of prize again this year.

For sure, but I'm afraid other teams were much more proactive with signings.

I have a soft spot for the Spurs since I played pro rugby a few minutes away, down White Heart Lane back in the day.  I lived in the West End but there was no way in hell I was going to be a Chelsea supporter.

QPR? Brentford?

No, that's more West London

I was in the West End, in Bloomsburry (near the British Museum).

Actually, the bus/tube bomb that the terrorists hit on 7/7 in London was really close to where I was at.

I'd just take the Great Russell Street stop up to Wood Green to get to WHL.  North London was pretty accessible for me.

Funny you mention QPR though.  The team would hit Walkabout in Shepard's Bush (when it was still open) quite often when we'd have a home game because of so many Aussies on the team.

If any of you guys ever get a chance, visit London for a week.  It really is a fun town, full of history and culture--and they love their sports!

Why the hate? I was cheering them on last season when it was clear ManU wasn't going anywhere without a striker (not a fan of Arteta at Arsenal and Man City was always going to take the cup).
