I saw this beef shank at the store, and took it as a challenge to my manhood…



I suspect that, smoked like a brisket or beef ribs, it would be bad ass.

You could smoke, to get that flavor in there, but I'd probably braise it with vegetables.

What does a prime ribeye go for in AZ?  Beef prices here, especially in my yuppie burb, are high.  I blame the influx of Californians.
