I wouldn't call this "turning on the administration". I am also completely unsurprised that some dudes most likely engaged perceived or actual threats after the blast.
I am curious as to who would threaten the doc, though. Probably us trying to keep whatever tentative deal the admin worked out with the taliban from disintegrating. But, then again, that kind of shit was basically the talibans MO... threatening folks to achieve a desired outcome. |

Try talking to Democrat voting military members about the Afghan withdrawal. Many will rationalize it along the lines of "it had to happen one day" but I bet if this had happened under Trump the reaction would've been 180 degrees.

The Afghanistan pullout was an absolute disaster and regardless of Biden making the decision to pullout the way we did, those Generals should be ashamed of themselves. Beyond the Kabul airport bombing, do some reading on Task Force Pineapple or listen to some podcasts with some of the retired special forces guys who took part (Sean Ryan did an excellent podcast with the main guy who set it up).
Essentially the Afgan commando's around the country were abandoned basically overnight in the field on missions or not. All their support was pulled, their bases emptied of US personnel and equipment. By all accounts the commando's were excellent fighters and loyal US military groups they worked with. Their families began to be killed pretty much immediately and they were being threatened with death by the taliban. The retired special forces guys went back into Afghanistan and began to work with active special forces teams, marines, and others to begin pulling the commandos and their families to the airport to extract them. They were still actively getting personnel out of the country after our pullout. It's a total embarrassment to the US the way the clown of a president pulled out. |

Why hide the gunfire? Does it make it seem that the taliban were not being "peaceful"? Most if not all bomb attacks are followed by ambush correct? I know it sucks that this happened but I dont understand the significance of finding gunfire during an attack .
