I served on the USS Tattnall, DDG-19 from April of '77 to November '80. The Tattnall relieved Pharris (FF-1094) on 23 June 1978 at the Dutch Naval Base at Den Helder, Netherlands as part of the Standing Naval Forces Atlantic (STANAVFORLANT) until December '78.
The Navy does not give individual orders to the members of the crew, assigning them to NATO but the ship was assigned while I was stationed aboard. Who can I ask about getting NATO flair? |

I know the Canadian Armed Forces is extremely protective of all of our crests, hat badges,etc. If I want to use my hat badge from my Battalion I need the CO's permission. I would assume to get permission to use the corn flake would go all the way to NHQ. |
