Greetings,

I have a P365XL and would like to explore converting it to thumb safety setup.  Can one convert a P365 non thumb safety model, to one with a thumb safety?

I think so, but have no real idea.
This  video may or may not have the answer (may just show making the hole?
Apparently this video , while showing their product, answers the question!

Tell me what you decide to do - I want to do the opposite maybe, when I go up to the Wilson combat grip.
And look in the video in this thread. ..

Yes, it's easy to do as previously mentioned. All P365 FCUs are cut for a manual safety, whether it's installed from the factory or not. Note that you'll either have to modify your grip module or purchase one cut for the manual safety.

I really like this video from SIG MECHANICS as Edmund not only gives installation instructions, but goes into detail on how the safety works.

It's super easy to do.  The hardest part is cutting out a groove in the grip for the safety.
