I’m taking my son on a cross country trip this summer and plan on bringing my 365XL. I know I have to only bring 10rd mags and the pistol has to be in a locked container.
Are there any ammo restrictions? I thought I remembered a ban on hollowpoints in CA, but I might be making that up. I haven’t seen anything about it in any of the other trip threads. |

You are fine with the HP ammo. The only ammo restrictions to be watching for
is no lead in hunting ammo and no armor piercing handgun ammo. |

I am fairly certain it was/is New Jersey that has the "no hollowpoints" ammo restriction.

Thanks for the info. I probably did get CA moxed up with NJ on the hollowpoint thing.
