My fantasy tends more towards owning something like this, but new construction. I would call it the African American Queen.

What is considered "Classic"? My brother owns a 2001 Carver 53 Voyager. It's 21 yrs old now, that is getting up there. He bought it 2yrs ago and spent $100k to redo the interior and some other upgrades. That doesn't count what he put into servicing the drives, engines, etc.

If I ever had a pile of money I hated, I'd buy an old 57' Chris Craft in a heart beat.

I kind of did. It was a 25 foot 1962 wood hull Chris Craft that I bought for $500 and restored to more or less working condition. I know 25” doesn’t really qualify as a yacht but it had a galley, head and slept 4. Good times. No pictures though they were lost in a move.

Dec of 22 I purchased a Sea Ray 410 AC for a good price. It has been a fun project over the summer it is now on the dry under shrink wrap. They are a lot of work. But if you are handy mechanically. Didn't do any big trips this past summer but I did spend a lot of time enjoying the boat. I have a few adventures hoping for this summer.
