[Last Edit: Meathook]
We hunted in MI early this fall with a friend and his two DD's.  She flushed a few but we never connected over her.  I had 25-30 hunts at home with 18 flushes so far this year.  Finally we connected on flush #17.   She flushed it right in my face and I had to shoot it out of self defense at less than 10 feet.    There wasn't much left of it.  I think I could have killed it with a baseball bat.

She will be 2 in May.  Had a good year on pheasant and few wood ducks, the grouse have been a struggle but persistence paid off.  Season runs to the end of the month so we will probably get a couple more trys at them.

In our state according to the survey.  The average is one flush for every 2 hours of hunting and one bird for every 15 flushes.
