I am working with Jim See on a new series in the midwest this year. If you don't know Jim, he's been one of the top PRS shooters since the birth of the PRS and he builds some pretty sweet rifles. He also runs training classes in Iowa at the SureShot range.

Anyways, it's called the Border War Rifle Series (BWRS). It's a ten match series with two matches being held in each of the five states: MN, WI, IL, IA, MO. We have a lot of sponsors on board and match prizes will be awarded in a 50/50 manner - half based on match results, half based on random draw, so regardless of your experience you have a chance to win some really cool stuff. If you choose to shoot in the point series, your top 3 scores from any of the ten matches (you can shoot all ten if you want) will count. The top 50 point series finishers will qualify for the Finale Match and there will be bigger prizes and cash payouts.

You don't have to be a BWRS members to shoot in any individual matches - but you DO need to be a member to compete in the point series race and qualify for the finale match. BWRS members also receive early registration option for the matches.

BWRS membership is $25 for the 2017 season. Individual match entry is $50. Finale match entry is $100 if you qualify and choose to attend.

We just opened the ability to purchase memberships on our website. There's a lot more information there. Match registration for individual matches will open 4-6 weeks ahead of each match. Let me know if you have any questions!

Quick update... as of January 16, we have over 90 shooters registered for the point series with more trickling in every day. The first match registration will be opening at the end of January and we expect it to fill relatively quickly. We have had great response from our sponsors and the prize tables are going to be pretty sweet.
