I'm not sure what else to call this style of bipod, but "split leg" gets hits.  I'm looking for a pair of bipod legs that mount via MLOK at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions.  Don't want to go over the barrel because reasons.  If I'm not being clear, below is a picture of some cheap Chinese junk on Amazon.

Is there a better name to search by?  Who makes the best bipods like this?

I haveTwo sets of bipod you have pictured ( both the short and long type). I prefer the long type for a DMR set up they are amazingly solid, low CG but you lose pan and cant feature. Great product for Chineseium

As far as US made; I haven’t found an  mlok version,  but years ago VLTOR made a Picatinny version. This was essentially a split version of the Tango Down bipod.

Thanks!  Turns out VLTOR called them "side mount" or "side mounted" bipods. Searching for that, I found much better choices that appear to be in stock.

Not sure if this interest you, but it is the slickest way I've seen to make an atlas bipod better...these guys make some really nice stuff....
