I have one of the 3x’s mounted on an AR. They’re great optics BUT, eye relief is super short. Like whatever you’re thinking when I say that, it’s even shorter than what you’re thinking. Also, they’re just as sensitive to parallax as any other magnified optic. You’ll need a solid cheek weld. Most AK side mounts do not allow the slx 3x to be mounted back far enough to be comfortable regarding eye relief. I tried mounting the 3x on my Bulgy AK using one of the back swept master mounts. To get it back far enough to be comfortable I’d have had to modify the master mount. Also without a cheek riser I never did get decent groups with the setup. So, it wound up on my 300 blackout AR where it is excelling.
