Introducing the PSAK47 GB2 "MOEkov" rifle!
Utilizing the innovative Magpul Zhukov stock with the classicly executed MOE AKM Forearm and grip, the "MOEkov" transforms the standard poly ak into a compact and ergonomic package. The PSAK-47 is a quality American standard AK built in America, with all new manufactured parts and a premium standard of fit, finish and workmanship. From the nitride finished, 4150 steel, barrel precision mated to a Billet barrel block, to the 1mm stamped steel receiver, the PSAK-47 was designed from the ground up to be a new standard in AK rifles. Thoroughly tested in development, we tortured tested to 10,000 rounds to ensure a quality product. Not to be satisfied with just a good AK, we kept improving and now are proud to announce our PSAK47 GB2 rifle with a billet steel barrel block (front trunion) and bolt. The 4150 barrel is nitride treated for accuracy and durability, is matched to a billet bolt, and is pressed into a new Billet steel machined barrel block to ensure the longevity AKs are known for. The hardened steel 1mm receiver features a mil-spec style double hook trigger, and side rail mount. The rear trunion is stamped with a star to designate the GB2 (Billet Block) model. The handguard is the MOE AKM, which complements the MOE Grip and Zhukov folding stock. The rifle comes complete with a cleaning rod and 30 round Magpul magazine (where allowed by law). I've never owned an ak, but I know I want one.
From what I know, this appears to be a good choice. Thanks PSA. I'm going to have to get one of these. |

Looks like my milled C39v2. Love my Magpul AK furniture.

What's the price on these?
Shows OOS. |

Good move as a factory install. I like that stock, it feels good and locks up well.

1mm....
Kind of cheap on the receiver thickness |

Yeah, but the big Bertha VEPRs are readjusting everyone's "normal" these days.
When are we going to see a real side-folder? DDI was making them (finally)... hopefully they don't get cut. |

Nothing wrong with 1mm. I've yet to have an issue with an AK that was due to receiver thickness.

There are AK47s in third world countries with 1mm thick receivers that have been in service for well over 50 years and are still going. PSA makes a solid AK. I jumped on the first release but I am going to have to get me one of the new ones. |

I bought a blem MOEkov GB2 because the emails are strong and my resistance was weak. The only blem I see is the safety lever scratch. I'll clean it and see how it does. I actually like the robot boot and learned that the stock extends pretty far. Couldn't imagine firing it with the stock folded. Not that I would hit anything if I did. My knuckle hits the folded boot. Unfolded and extended, it feels ok. Seems tight all over. Shooting should loosen her up.
Odd but cool: They sent the serial number rifle that is my birth year followed by my birth date. |

I had a chance to field strip the MOEkov and intended to clean it but I saw it was pretty clean and very well (not meaning too much, but carefully done) greased so I swabbed the bore and put it back together. Took it to the range and ran Fiocchi 123gr FMJ through it (range frowns on steel core and I knew it was ok) after about 40 rounds my cheek was sore but I like it. Didn't go long range but was as accurate as expected. Hit a one inch dot at 75 feet with the irons first shot. Just wanted to function test it in the neighborhood. Happy with it. Looking forward to next time. Thinking about a cheek riser. All around I think it is going to be a winner.

I ordered a Blem in black for $499 with free shipping. It was so dam sexy that I ordered another one in OD green! Haven't had a chance to get to the range but if it shoots as good as it looks I'll be a happy camper!
