I have been looking for the basic dimensions of a Colt 6940 barrel nut, to mill an appropriate barrel wrench. A friend of mine might come for a visit with his 6940; wishing to remove the barrel but we were both unable to get a barrel wrench. I would like to manufacture one before his visit.

Ask these guys. I believe they have the dimensions and wrench you seek.
At one time I was on a similar quest and it led to them. |

SA would have been my 1st choice, but I am abroad and SA is out of question for me. I will have to make it myself.
