Here's my two recent projects, now that I'm close to done with my Canadian C7/C8 projects...enjoy!

First is a 723 build, all Colt, including an LE trade AR15A2 lower, Colt CH forge C7-type (A2 upper with field sights) upper, and a '96-dated Colt 14.5 C MP barrel assembly. The sear block is cut down, so running a Colt FA BCG (C-stamped, MPC), Colt grey charging handle, Colt grey Delta ring, Colt large "D" forward assist, Colt A2 FH (pinned with a spacer to 16+"), and full Diemaco original C8 furniture set I purchased from a Canadian dealer (Colt vinyl acetate stock, Colt 2-position RE, lock ring, Devtek "D" marked A2 grip, and shiny 6-hole Colt carbine handguards.) It's basically a first gen Diemaco C8 carbine, but I think the barrel profile is a bit off from what they used.

Next is a 727 build, all Colt, built on an LE trade LE 6520 carbine that I swapped parts out on. Includes a C MP marked 14.5 M4 barrel assembly, Colt FA C-stamped BCG, Colt charging handle, 4-position Colt RE, Colt Fiberlite N1 stock, Colt grip, old Colt double heat shield M4 handguards, Colt A1/A2 side sling mount, and Colt A2 FH (pinned with a spacer to 16+"). More or less an XM-4/early M4 build.

All Colt, built on a 6520 lower. Barrel work by Specialized Armament.

Super nice! I'll build a C7 upper with an M4 barrel eventually...

SAW does nice work.

I'm thinking of having a M4 barrel re-profiled to the early step vs notch style.

Fantastic guns. I especially love the 723 with a Colt c7 upper.

Thanks, took me years of researching and collecting parts. I imagine C2Installs knows the feeling of finally getting everything together after a long wait, too!

There's Something to be said about the 723. I finished mine last February.

Tactical Machining Lower (to be replaced with an H&R M16A2)
PSA BCG
Anderson Carbine lower completion kit
Brownells carbine stock.
The upper I purchased complete from the EE minus BCG

I agree. My 14.5 pencil barrel (16” w/ P&W) 723 may be my favorite carbine. Feels right, great balance, basic but functional controls, capable, and looks classic.
