I have worked with several Indian engineers, there were a few good ones but most of them couldn't do the work.
They would always get into arguments with other Indian engineers, just ongoing power struggles. |

Years ago there was a photo essay entitled "Filthy India" that was going around. It showed people bathing in the river, drinking the water from their hands, just inches away from floating corpses. Other photos showed the beaches with every square foot covered in human waste. Dogs eating the dead on the side of the road, etc... If was disgusting, and I then and there made my mind up I'll never visit that country. I just tried to find it, but it looks like the photo essay has been taken down. Every link I can find is a dead end. |

I have some pictures of a billboard that collapsed about 10 years ago in India right next to my hotel. It killed a couple of people, but it didn't seem to be a big deal to anyone.
