 The man who shot 3 police officers in Kenner, Louisiana has been identified as 31-year-old Matthew Lathers, who is connected to 2 shootings in Kenner, the first one on Tuesday which left one injured and the second one today which left two injured. - NOLA/WWL-TV Looks like 729 Farm Ave.

Certain neighborhoods in Kenner are like shithole in New Orleans. Great place to get seafood at Harbor Seafood but other than that and the New Orleans airport there isn't much going on.

"Active Shooter targeting LE" makes it sound like a guy seeking out cops and picking them off.
My guess from the pics posted is that this dude shot 3 cops while trying to get away from them and will probably try to shoot more when they catch up with him but not really an "active shooter". |

Nothing good happens on or near Airline Highway. They tried to rename it Airline Drive to make it sound less of a dump. It's one of the filthiest and most run down stretches of roadway in America. Preacher man Jimmy Swaggart (Cousin of pedo Jerry Lee Lewis) was banging hookers just east of there in some No Tell Motel.
Three Kenner police officers were shot and wounded Sunday during a standoff with the suspect in two earlier shootings, according to the Kenner Police Department. Kenner police said officers were called at around 9:45 a.m. to a residence in the 700 block of Farm Avenue, where they eventually entered a standoff with 31-year-old Matthew Lathers. Lathers is wanted in connection with a Kenner shooting and holdup that left a 56-year-old man in critical condition on Tuesday afternoon, according to Capt. Michael Cunningham, spokesperson for the Kenner Police Department. Lathers is also the suspect in a double shooting that was reported in the same location early Sunday, Cunningham said. Kenner police said two men were wounded in that shooting, one critically. The wounded officers were transported to a hospital, according to Kenner Police Chief Keith Conley, but it's unclear in what condition. There was still an active SWAT presence at the location where the shooting occurred as of 2:45 p.m., Conley said. Police blocked off the eastbound lanes of Airline Drive near Kenner Avenue during the investigation. The road was still closed at 4 p.m. |
