My wife wants to upgrade her Cricut to a Siser.   I'm trying to get her to look at laser cutters before she pulls the trigger.

Any forums to visit for current go to machines?   Are the laser/cutter combos like an Xtool trying to do too much? Is a laser a whole different tool vs a Cricut?  

I run a cheap 5.5w laser. It's a longer ray5.

Works fine for paper. White paper is harder to cut than you think.


You can cut or engrave other materials with one. If you want to do vynal, it'll do it but you want your settings on point so you don't make the edges into a goo.
